Mhasa Yatra is one of the famous yatra in Murbad. The tradition of mhasa yatra is more than 200 years old which creates attraction towards lots of people about our Traditional Indian Culture.

In Mhasa yatra presiding deity/goddess is Khamblingeshwar or Mhasoba (Lord Shankar). In Hindu Puranas Hari(Vishnu) & Har (Shiv) are referred as eternal friends. It is said that wherever they resides lord Vishnu & lord Shiva also resides nearby. 

One of the important aspects of Mhasa Yatra is RATHAYATRA PROCESSIONS. This have been historically common in Vishnu related tradition in Hinduism across India, in shiva related tradition, saints. Now before 20-25 years ago, this RATHAYATRA PROCESSION was disappeared from Mhasa yatra.

The Hindu communities outside of India, such as Singapore celebrate RATHAYATRA such as those associated with goodness, Shiva.

Mhasoba's temple (lord Shankar) is also one of the important part of Mhasa yatra.It is one of the famous temple because of its vigilance hence lots of people are excited to visit that temple. Devotee come in offer their prayers to lord Shankar from  different parts of Maharashtra. This yatra is held over sprawl of 1.5-2km surrounding temple in Mhasa village. Also in Mhasa yatra lots of games are arranged for people entertainment.
